Chris celebrates episode 250 of the Further Your Lifestyle Podcast by reflecting on how consistently showing up creates real results for both the host and listeners. He emphasizes “quiet commitment” and the compounding effect of small, regular actions in areas like business, health, mindset, and relationships, using his and Carla’s steady gym routine as an example. Looking back on his early nerves starting the podcast, he explains how repetition builds confidence, skills, and perspective, and encourages listeners to recognize their own “receipts” of progress and the wins they’ve normalized over time. Chris notes that the true return on showing up is who you become, invites listeners to share when they started listening, mentions typical episode views, and offers optional YouTube memberships to support the channel.

elcome And 250 Episode Milestone\n
SPEAKER_00Yo, yo, yo, welcome back to the Feather Your Lifestyle Podcast Conversations on Lifestyle, Passions, and Hustles. My name's Chris. I am your host, and I'm super excited to be back here having the conversation with you. Episode 250 today. We are at a quarter of a thousand, a huge milestone moment. And the whole premise of today's episode is it's a bit of a tip-for-tack kind of conversation. You know, we've had a conversation for the last 250 episodes, and I wanted to talk about what that has done for me, but I also want to spend the time to think about what does that mean for you and how do we tie those two together and what can that mean if we as we continue to move forward. And, you know, it's it really comes down to, you know, proof of showing up gets you results. And this might be around, you know, you, and I want to honor you for listening to these episodes, whether you've listened five times, 25 times, or you've listened to every 250 episodes. What matters is that you've you've come here with the intention to listen, to learn, to understand. And when you zoom out, the the ability of what we can gain from being willing to show up is really, really important and powerful. And for me, you know, I've shown up 250 times, not necessarily 250 weeks because we took a couple of breaks over Christmas and things like that. But, you know, we have done 250 episodes. And for me, that's been amazing because it does bring a new ability of confidence. It provides you, you know, the understanding of what happens when you do show up on a regular basis and be consistent. So we're gonna break that down a little bit. There's probably three or four points that I want to go through today. It might even be a little bit more. We'll keep it short and sweet, but it's really just a big thank you to you as well. But also, I want to encourage you that you know why it's really important that you should consistently show up on a regular basis, doesn't have to be daily, it could be weekly, whatever it is, and you can see the big results from this. So we're gonna roll the intro, we're gonna dive straight into it. And if you do enjoy these episodes, you can give a thumbs up, give a like, hit subscribe if you want to see more of these episodes. But we do and can can continue the conversation down below in the comments. But but I will ask this if you think these episodes are great, doesn't have to be this fun, could be any of them, share it with someone else. That would mean the absolute world to me. We're gonna dive into it, let's get into it. So, the power of quiet commitment. And I think this is what a lot of people underestimate how powerful it is to actually just show up consistently, constantly. And it's not about being loud, being noisy. It's really just showing up, whether it's in your business, whether it's with your health, with your mindset, with your relationships. Just chipping away, doing the reps, slowly but surely. You know, Carla and I, we've been started doing our gym routine. We're not doing anything crazy. We're just wanting to be consistent, you know, three times a week, and we're just slowly increasing. Now, the beauty of that at the start, you're tired, you're exhausted, it's it's you don't feel necessarily productive, things are hard, you don't know your way around, you know, whether it's the gym equipment or whatever. But by showing up, we are being overall productive because one, we're building the habit, we're building the consistency, we're getting our headspace in the right mentality, knowing that if we keep doing this, progress will happen. And the small acts, they pay up, pay off, and they add up. What used to be one, you know, round of sets, we can now do three, right? And it means that you are gaining and stacking on top of that. So showing up when it doesn't feel massive is what makes it meaningful and actually makes it possible to be able to show up and be able to do the bigger amounts. And that's why it's so important that if you are chipping away at a smaller amount, you focus on just being consistent rather than like, oh, I walked away and I lost 10 kilos. Because that's that's that reality isn't dead. You will lose the weight over a long period of time, but doing it you know, short and sharp and consistently and constantly is what's gonna make all the difference. You can't always see the change while you're in it, but I guess by the time you finish, you will feel it, right? And that's the idea is you want to see that progress, feel that progress. So you're gonna feel it over a long period of time, probably sorry, you're gonna see it over a long period of time, but you're probably gonna feel it on an ongoing basis. And that's great. And by doing so, you know, for me, spending 250 episodes doing this, you gain a fresh perspective of your own journey. For me, like if I look back and think when I first started this podcast, I was terrified to do it. I I was, you know, nervous, I didn't feel confident. I was doing a lot more episodes with other people. But, you know, as you grow, you figure out where you want to take things and you how you want to develop what you're intending to do, and you you get confident, you get a little bit more, I guess, consistent in carving out what it is that you're trying to create. But if you look back, you can see, you know, moments of achievement, moments of milestone, moments where you were able to celebrate because you you showed up, you made it happen. And, you know, there would have been pro times, and I'm I'm talking general at this point, because it's not necessarily about me doing this podcast, but you know, if you zoom out and think, what have you done over the last year every week, or the last couple of years every week, you know, maybe you've had some hard conversations, maybe you've had some new habits that you've been able to build, maybe there's been some triggers that you've been able to outgrow. Maybe there's been some battles that you've been able to win as well. And these are your kind of like, I guess, I need to see excuse me. These are kind of like your receipts of like, you know, you've done the job. You know, when you go to the checkout and you fill out, scan everything, and then at the end you get the receipt, and this is what you've taken. This is what it is. You can pull out the receipt and say, like, oh, well, I've done this, I've done this, I've done this, and you actually start to realize that, you know, what you've spent doing is actually a really good amount. In this case, if you go to the shops and you've spent too much, it's a lot of money. But the thing is, over time, if you go through the sh, you know, the shops and you're adding to your shopping trolley, oh, it's only$2, it's only$1, it's only$5, oh, that one's a bit$10, it's a bit more. But you get to the end and the whole thing's worth$250, right? And you've spent a lot of money. It's the same analogy here, is that those little things they add up and then all of a sudden you realize you've you've grown 250%. So you've you've changed, you've moved, and you know, it doesn't even matter if the world hasn't necessarily noticed or clapped at you. The point is, you, you have done it, right? And you know it. You can see it, you've got the results, you've got the tangible results, you've got the evidence that you've been able to do it. And that's why it's so important to stack invisible wins. For me, like doing this, you know, I know what I need to do, I can do things a lot easier. We I know how to edit things, I didn't know how to edit a podcast when I started, know how to film things, I know what I'm trying to achieve, I know how to get more content, I know how to build content, all these different things. And it's giving me more confidence talking in front of the camera. A lot of the time, I'm not even scripting these things. We're just talking about something that's on my mind. I've got a few dot points, whatever, but I've been able to build that over doing a lot more reps over a lot more time. Therefore, I stack invisible wins. So I would encourage you to maybe think about, you know, what are you currently doing? Ask yourself whether you write it down or you can put it in the comments, what are things that you're doing today that you never used to do? Also, reflect on what you've kind of normalized that you once thought was impossible. And I loved looking at this analogy, especially from business, because I look back a couple of years ago and I had problems in the business. How do I do this? How am I going to get there? How am I going to achieve this? And then, you know, a year later or two years later, I'm in a warehouse, we've got all these different things. Those problems are like so small compared to the problems that I have now in trying to move the business to that next level. So the things that felt impossible back then and the other things that are just normalized now, and the impossible eventually will become just a new normal again. And that's because you're slowly stacking wins. Right? So you've got to honor the things that you didn't even realize you've overcome. Okay. Like spend some time, look back and think, oh, I did that. You achieved that. Now, if you don't know how to do this, it's really just looking back, where were you a year ago? There's a lot of people, and I I do this to myself. I'm very hard on myself. I think, oh, I'm not seeing the results that I want. But when you zoom out and you think, oh, well, I've got this, this is working, I've got this, I'm doing that, I've been able to pay for this, you know, I've got my own house, married, all these different things. When you start to think, well, how did we get here? It's from doing something on a regular basis to be able to get the result that you want. That's all it takes, right? And the real return on investment of showing up isn't what you get, it's the who you become, the new version of yourself. I guess the way to look at this is like to gain that momentum, if you want to keep getting the results, it's built in the background, right? Every episode you've listened to of this, you know, maybe you've you've learned something new, it's giving you a new perspective. But every episode I've recorded, it's giving me the confidence to then work towards the next one. And it all stacks. It gives you new skills, it gives you a new perspective, always be learning. Whether you're listening to my podcast or someone else's being willing to tune in and to learn something new, that in itself is giving you the momentum to build something bigger in the background, passively. Right? Rem We've got to remind ourselves that no one action makes all the difference. But the pattern does. You go to the gym once, you're not gonna see the results. You go to the gym twice, you're not really gonna see much either. You might start feeling it, but you start going twice, three times a week, just doing the small reps, 30 minutes here and there, you will start to see the pattern gives results. So, I would encourage you to to celebrate the facts that one, you're here, you're still here. Let me know down in the comments. When you first started listening to the other podcast, that would mean the absolute world to me to get a bit of an idea. But you know, in your own personal life, here you are, the world is full of distractions, yet you showed up and you're still making it happen. You're still making it happen. Be kind to yourself. So I'm gonna give you a bit of a challenge to take away. Whether you do it, it's totally on you. But if you don't, again, it's on you. So whether you've shown up for two weeks or 200 weeks, I want to remind you that you are building something bigger than a to-do list. You're becoming someone who keeps showing up, and that's the kind of person who changes their life. So reflect on this, right? What are you trying to achieve? And what have you been doing to get there over the last, you know, two weeks, two hundred weeks, whatever it may be. And it's interesting because I know I've called it out in episodes that, you know, if you come back here in a hundred episodes time and we see where we're at, you know, would have I imagine where we're at? I would have loved to think the podcast is in a bigger position, you know, we've we've got brand deals or doing all these different things. But at the end of the day, I really enjoy just tuning in, doing these conversations with people. And I know there's a there's a small subset of you that are here religiously each and every week. And I I'm super grateful for it. I don't know the exact number. I mean, I see who tunes in. I know there's 12, 15 people tuning in in my audio. On the actual, I'm gonna just bring this up live for myself and have a look. But for the actual, you know, Further Your Lifestyle podcast, it's very interesting because when I start to look and see how many people are showing up on average per episode, you know, it's it's actually it's life-changing. So in the last 28 days, you know, the last the on the 22nd, we had someone we've had 105 views, we had 79 views, 76 views, so we're getting about that 80 to 120 views per episode. And that's 80 to 120 people. That's you guys. And I really appreciate you being here, hanging out, and uh listening, whether you comment, whether you don't, it means the world to me. And from that, you're gonna get a better version of yourself. But by just showing up, this is the key point here, right? We just want to be showing up. That's all we want to do. Show up, be willing to learn, put the reps in, and see the magic work. See the results happen. If you don't do it, nothing can happen. You people complain, like, oh, I'm not getting the results I want. What are you doing to get the results? Are you showing up? Are you doing anything that moves you closer to it? And it's it should almost with the tagline of further your lifestyle. What are you doing today that's gonna get you closer to where you want to be? That's all it is, right? And it's just doing that small amounts and building that momentum. Here we are, 250 episodes in. Look, I'm gonna keep going, go to 500, we'll go to 1000, we'll build it into what it needs to be. But for me right now, what it needs to be is just showing up weekly, giving you the guys the content and sharing, you know, the things that I've been dealing with, my perspectives, my journey that helps me further my lifestyle in order to maybe influence and encourage you and give you the inspiration to go after your dreams, your goals, how you want to further your lifestyle. That's the intention here. So give yourself a pat on the back. I do appreciate you being here. We'll be back here again next week doing it all again. Please let me know down in the comments how many episodes have you been listening to or when did you first join the journey? And it really means the world to me for everyone that has supported.
